9 ways to feed a Kiwi kid

9 ways to feed a Kiwi kid

Since day one, we’ve been committed to feeding Kiwi kids in need.

Food insecurity and child poverty are widespread throughout New Zealand families and, Covid19 has played a big part in the growth of this problem.

Fortunately, Eat My Lunch have lots of ways individuals and businesses can help Give healthy school lunches to kids that need them.

  1. Order your lunch from us regularly

With work and home commitments, school drop-offs and pick-ups, food shopping, exercise, me-time, partner-time, and family-time - it all adds up to NO TIME at all.

Give yourself a break and make your lunch our problem.  Once a week when you don’t have to think about it.  Once a week when a child is tucking into a healthy lunch, all thanks to you. Lots of dietary options available too.

  1. Volunteer

Eat My Lunch volunteer mornings are legendary. Our Auckland and Wellington Give coordinators make your morning fun and rewarding, and we don’t subject you to bad music or bad coffee. This is a great way to connect with your team, share their volunteer experience with customers and help kids close to home.

  • Supply product or sample that we add to our Give school lunches.
  • Offer a portion of your sales to our Give schools. Eg: ‘for every product we sell this month, $5 goes to Eat My Lunch to feed more Kiwi kids’.

We then promote your business to thousands of potential customers through e-newsletters, Google My Business and social media channels. Email us for more details.

  1. Add a Google review

The more people who know about our mission, the more Kiwi kids we can help.  Reviews offer peace of mind and make customers feel safe about the products they buy.

85% of consumers google a business before making a buying decision.  Whether you’re in the market for a fridge, a new book or want to know how good a restaurant is, we instinctively seek out opinions from others.

And finally …

To date, we’ve Given over 1.7 million lunches – no small feat!  Whether its the school holidays or term time – every product you buy generates a Give lunch*. Every lunch counts.

*Give lunches that are generated when kids aren’t at school, are held as surplus lunches to be used when kids are back in the classroom.
